° Turnhout, Belgium 1963
Back in 1990 I moved to London to fully commit to photography. I quickly entered the world of fashion photography, creating portfolios for models and working (shooting, developing, printing) day and night to establish myself in the industry. Following the scene to Paris, I received my first major assignment in 1992 : Vogue Hommes. This led to fashion editorials for magazines such as Weekend Knack and Marie Claire and commercial spreads for Randstad, Kipling… During this time I lived and worked in Paris and New York, while also spending time in Milan, Miami, Londen and Hollywood. In 1997 I returned to Belgium and continued working for a wide range of magazines and brands. Over time, my focus shifted from fashion to portrait and documentary photography. For several years I collaborated with UNICEF. In recent years I have mainly been creating travel reportages and visual stories, alongside running my own youtube channel, where I share photographs, travel and behind-the-scene experiences.
The images below show me-myself-and I not because I’m so vain, but mostly because I found myself in situations that need coverage, the light, the location, a certain reflection….anyway
